BibleScooter allows you to easily navigate the Bible and display pages from biblegateway.com when you are online. BibleScooter also allows you to mark favorite chapters and keep track of your reading progress in various books of the Bible, to help you achieve your personal reading goals.

BibleScooter displays a 2-wheel picker with the books of the Bible on the left and the chapters of each book on the right. You can choose to display the Old Testament, New Testament, or both testaments in the pickers.

As you move the pickers, the selected chapter of the selected book is automatically displayed from biblegateway.com (or other configured website) when you are online; Tap the picker button to hide the pickers for easier reading or reveal the pickers for navigation purposes.

BibleScooter can be configured to display text from any website that supports free-form book and chapter queries using the HTML “get” method, and can be configured to display text in your favorite translation if the website supports a query request for it (such as by appending “&version=X” to the biblegateway.com query URL).

You can click the “Favorite” button to mark (or unmark) both the book and chapter on the picker wheels with a heart, to indicate a favorite chapter of a book.

When you finish reading a chapter, you can click the “Read” button to mark it with a check mark on the chapter picker wheel; when you finish reading all chapters of a book, the book is also marked with a check mark on the book picker wheel.

If you find a chapter you want to share with a friend, you can click the “Mail” button to switch to the mail application to send a link to the website page.

We hope you enjoy BibleScooter.

Image 3: BibleScooter configuration flip view; note that both Old and New Testaments are being displayed in the pickers, and if you read 3.3 chapters per day, you’ll finish them both in a year.
